The story

Founded in 2010 as an AP automation platform for mid-market businesses, MineralTree steadily expanded from basic invoice processing to end-to-end payment automation including virtual cards, ACH, and checks. Acquired by Global Payments in 2021, MineralTree became the B2B payments arm of a global payment technology giant, enabling it to deepen ERP integrations and embed payments directly into accounting systems. Its 2025 partnership with Sage to build Vendor Payments natively inside Sage Intacct represents a strategic shift from standalone AP software to fully embedded B2B payment infrastructure within the ERP.
