The story

Keystone Bank was created in 2011 by CBN/NDIC as a successor bank to the failed Bank PHB Plc, with AMCON holding shares until 2017 when it sold to the Sigma Golf-Riverbank Consortium. The bank has since narrowed its footprint — divesting Sierra Leone and Liberia subsidiaries in 2022-2023 — and refocused on Nigerian commercial, SME, corporate, and agency banking, positioning itself as a digital-first Nigerian commercial bank rather than a pan-African group.
