“Can a legacy time-and-attendance platform become the workforce management OS for complex frontline organizations by aggregating scheduling, compliance, payroll integrations, and financial wellness benefits?”
Founded in 1988 as TimeClock Plus, a time-and-attendance company for mid-market and enterprise employers, TCP spent decades building deep compliance and time-tracking infrastructure. Starting around 2019 it shifted into a broader workforce management platform through a series of acquisitions — Humanity.com (scheduling), Aladtec (public safety), WhenToWork, and others — rebranding to TCP Software. The embedded finance angle emerged with the Clair partnership, adding Earned Wage Access as an employee benefit accessible directly from the scheduling platform, extending TCP's value beyond pure workforce management into financial wellness.
