The story

HiBob launched in 2015 as a modern HRIS/HCM platform targeting mid-market distributed workforces. Through 2024-2025 it expanded beyond core HR by acquiring Pento (payroll) and Mosaic (FP&A), evolving toward a unified HR-Finance-Payroll suite. In 2026, it embedded Modulr's payments rails into payroll to close the loop on money movement — a clear move into embedded finance as a wedge for retention and ARPU.
