The story

Founded in 2015 as a modern HCM platform for mid-market companies, HiBob ('bob') started with core HR and people management capabilities. Over time it expanded into payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, and financial planning and analysis (the Bob Finance Module), positioning itself as an all-in-one HR and finance operating system. The March 2026 Modulr partnership marks HiBob's move into embedding payments infrastructure directly within its payroll product, closing the loop between HR data and actual money movement — a classic vertical SaaS embedded finance play.
