HawkSoft is a family-founded, independently-owned agency management system built by insurance agents for insurance agents. Started in 1995 by Paul Hawkins and son Sean out of Canby, Oregon, it has remained privately held and product-led for 30 years, competing against larger AMS vendors (Applied, Vertafore) by emphasizing service, workflow, and agent data ownership. The current strategic pivot is the migration from local/on-premise installs to HawkSoft 6, a cloud platform on Microsoft Azure — modernizing the delivery model while continuing to expand its embedded payments/premium finance partner ecosystem (Ascend, RevitPay, Agave, Simply Easier Payments, Input 1) rather than building financial infrastructure in-house.
