“Can a thin software layer on top of Swan become the default SME financial OS in the Benelux?”
GoDutch was founded in 2024 as a Dutch alternative to legacy business banking, operating as a software layer on top of Swan's regulated e-money and card issuing platform. The company positions itself as a 'business account' but does not hold its own e-money or banking licence — Swan (a French EMI regulated by ACPR) provides the underlying account, IBAN, and Mastercard issuance. With its 2025 seed round, GoDutch is expanding beyond the business account into payroll, lending and treasury, signalling ambition to become a full SME financial OS in the Benelux and broader EU.
