The story

Genial Investimentos began as a Brazilian broker-dealer (corretora) focused on capital markets and IPO coordination. In 2021 it launched IB Tech to embed itself in the fintech ecosystem — providing BaaS rails to fintechs like JUSTA and PicPay while serving Mercado Pago, PagSeguro, Stone, SumUp and iFood as banking clients. In 2025-2026 the group is pivoting toward retail banking under CEO Rodolfo Riechert, targeting salary advances, salary accounts and recurring credit — a bet that 'IPO-focused banking is over in Brazil'.
