ezyVet was founded in Auckland in 2006 by Hadleigh Bognuda to modernize veterinary practice management with a cloud-based, feature-rich, customizable SaaS. It grew from a Kiwi startup into a global category leader serving 4,000+ hospitals across 18 countries, with offices in Auckland, Dallas and London. In 2018 it was acquired by IDEXX Laboratories, positioning it alongside Cornerstone, Neo, Animana and Vello inside IDEXX's veterinary software portfolio. Embedded finance is deliberately partner-mediated: ezyVet does not operate its own payments, lending, or insurance rails — it exposes an API and knits third parties (PayJunction, CareCredit, Windcave, Trupanion, Xero) into the workflow.
