“Can Turkey's first branchless digital bank sustain its fee-free, customer-love-driven brand as a newly independent chartered bank inside QNB Group?”
Enpara launched in October 2012 as the first branchless digital retail banking platform in Turkey, operated as a division of Finansbank (later QNB Finansbank). In August 2024 it obtained its own deposit bank licence from BDDK, and in August 2025 it was formally carved out via partial demerger into a standalone entity, Enpara Bank A.Ş., which remains a QNB Group subsidiary. The strategic question is whether a 13-year-old fee-free digital brand can defend its category-leading position as an independent chartered bank against Turkey's newer neobank entrants.
