The story

Comet launched as an AI-powered tech freelance marketplace in France, matching Data & Tech freelancers with large enterprise clients in under 48 hours. It evolved beyond pure recruitment by embedding financial infrastructure: integrating Lemonway for payment flows and adding Defacto for early invoice financing, transforming the platform into a full-service freelance operating system. The CometConnect product extended this into a managed 'portage salarial' offering that bundles contracting, insurance (RC Pro), and payout services — making Comet the administrative and financial backbone for freelance engagements at scale.
