CAFU

Can an on-demand fuel delivery app become the all-in-one mobile car ownership super app for UAE consumers and fleet operators?

The story

Founded in January 2018 as a simple on-demand petrol delivery app in UAE, CAFU rapidly expanded beyond fuel into a full-service mobile car care super app covering washes, battery, tyres, oil changes, and roadside rescue. By 2023, CAFU had expanded geographically into Canada with EV charging services and embedded financial services including digital insurance via Tokio Marine and a unified payment infrastructure via Adyen spanning multiple markets and currencies. The company's embedded finance angle centres on using Adyen to underpin multi-market acquiring, fraud prevention, and authorisation optimisation rather than building its own payments stack.
