Buckaroo

“Can a Dutch iDEAL-native PSP evolve into a full omnichannel financial operations platform (payments + acquiring + capital + accounting) for European merchants?”

The story

Buckaroo has operated since 2005 as a Dutch PSP holding a DNB Payment Institution licence and an iDEAL acquiring licence. Following its 2023 merger with SEPAY, it moved from pure online payments into omnichannel including POS terminals. That same year, it replaced its card acquiring stack with Silverflow's cloud-native card processing platform, and in 2025 layered in embedded merchant financing (Buckaroo Capital, powered by YouLend). The addition of a Buckaroo Wallet and Buckaroo Accounting connector shows a push to become a broader financial operations layer for Dutch merchants rather than a single-rail PSP.
