The story

Bolt Food is the food-delivery vertical of Estonian mobility super-app Bolt, launched 2019 in Tallinn as a cheaper, courier-friendly answer to Wolt and Uber Eats in CEE and Africa. It expanded into rapid grocery via Bolt Market in 2021. Through 2025 it has built an embedded-finance layer for the supply side — courier insurance in Africa and revenue-based working capital for restaurants in Europe via finmid (Latvia) and YouLend (Poland), positioning Bolt Food as a financial OS for its restaurant partners rather than only a delivery channel.
