“Can a digital bank become the default financial layer under Indonesia's super-app ecosystem?”
Founded in 1992 as PT Bank Artos Indonesia, a small commercial bank, Jago was acquired and rebranded in 2020 by investors including Gojek/GoTo and Jerry Ng to become a digital-first neobank. It leveraged deep integration with Indonesia's leading super-app ecosystem (GoPay, GoBiz) and investment app Bibit to distribute banking to Gojek's driver base and consumers. Jago is now one of Indonesia's leading digital banks, competing with SeaBank (Shopee), Bank Neo Commerce (Akulaku), and Allo Bank.
