The story

Originated as BBC Leasing S/A, a vehicle-leasing arm within Grupo Simpar (Brazil's largest mobility conglomerate — parent of JSL, Vamos, Movida, Original). Rebranded and received banco múltiplo authorization from Banco Central in December 2021 to become Banco BBC Digital, expanding from pure leasing into vehicle financing (CDC), digital accounts with prepaid cards, and investments. Strategy is a captive-plus-open model: ~2/3 of 2023 originations came from Simpar Group operations (Vamos, Movida, Original), with the rest from external truckers and SMB fleet operators. Positioning is a vertical bank for the Brazilian mobility/logistics ecosystem — especially professional truck drivers.
