The story
Autohost was born out of the founders' own short-term rental operations, where existing guest-screening practices failed to stop fraud and criminal misuse. Originally a screening tool for STR operators, Autohost has pivoted toward being an embedded verification infrastructure layer — offering SDK/API/iFrame integrations so PMS platforms, booking sites, insurers and payment providers can embed KYC-grade guest verification into their own products. Checktiv (2025) extends this into a self-serve developer motion.
