The story

Founded 2012 by landlords Marc and Rochelle Trup as a cloud-based property management platform for UK landlords and letting agents. Scaled through a series of seed rounds and marketplace integrations (Xero, Rightmove, Zoopla) between 2016-2018. Acquired by Germany's Aareon AG in December 2020, positioning Arthur as the UK anchor of Aareon's pan-European proptech portfolio. Since acquisition, the company has focused on embedded finance workflows — Live Bank Feed via Yapily open banking, TransUnion credit checks, and Veyco referencing — bringing lightweight financial infrastructure into the property management workflow rather than becoming a fintech itself.
