The story

Aptean was formed in 2012 from the merger of Consona and CDC Software as a private-equity-backed roll-up of vertical ERP assets, focused on mid-market manufacturing, distribution, food & beverage, apparel and logistics industries. Over the following decade it consolidated dozens of niche ERP vendors under the Aptean brand. In 2020 it began embedding fintech-adjacent capabilities with Aptean Pay (ERP-integrated payments) and Aptean eCommerce. The current strategic direction is unifying the acquired portfolio onto a single AI-enabled AppCentral platform with embedded Aptean Intelligence AI agents.
