The story

Founded in 2006 as a cloud SaaS provider for property managers, AppFolio has steadily expanded from core lease management into embedded financial services — payments, insurance (FolioGuard), and lending partnerships. The AppFolio Stack marketplace launched to integrate proptech and fintech partners natively into the platform, making AppFolio the operational and financial hub for 20,000+ property management firms. Rather than building all financial products in-house, AppFolio has pursued a partnership model, embedding third-party fintech capabilities directly into its workflow.
