The story

Founded in 2017 to solve the high merchant acceptance fee problem of traditional Brazilian meal vouchers (VR/VA), Alymente evolved from a single-benefit food card into a multi-benefit flexible platform. The company consolidated up to 9 benefit categories (meal, food, mobility, home office, entertainment, education, health, gym, and wellness) onto a single Visa card, positioning itself against legacy players like Sodexo and Alelo. The embedded finance angle is primarily in card issuing and the people-analytics dashboard, letting HR teams manage and segment benefit spend in real time.
