The story

Founded in 2021 as the UAE's first fully digital, Central Bank-licensed Specialized Bank, Mbank launched with a mobile-first account opening experience integrated with UAE Pass. It rapidly moved beyond simple retail banking by becoming the first issuer of the Jaywan domestic debit card and building out the UAE's first blockchain-based digital wallet (Mbank Wallet). The bank is now positioning itself as embedded finance infrastructure for other UAE banks via its Mbank Wallet platform and Jaywan card-scheme IT infrastructure, while simultaneously expanding its product breadth to include stablecoin payments (AE Coin via Network International), cross-border remittances (LuLu Exchange), government housing loans (ADHA), and digital payroll (e-WPS/Ojoor).
