The story

Afinz is the 2021 rebrand of Sorocred, a 30+ year-old consumer credit company from Sorocaba, SP serving the Brazilian retail and under/unbanked population. After receiving universal bank authorization from the Brazilian Central Bank in March 2021, the group re-founded itself as Afinz — an 'Open Platform' combining a licensed multiple bank, payment institution, and non-financial services (health, e-commerce). The strategic pivot is from consumer credit monoline to a full-stack B2B2C banking-as-a-service provider offering white-label banking, card issuing, receivables anticipation, and lending infrastructure to fintechs and retailers.
