The story

Access Bank began in 1989 as a Nigerian commercial bank and listed on the NSE in 1998. In 2022 the group restructured into Access Holdings Plc — a non-operating financial holding company regulated by the CBN — to move 'beyond banking' into payments (Hydrogen), pensions (Access ARM Pensions), insurance brokerage (Access Insurance Brokers), and consumer lending (Oxygen X). The strategy is to become a diversified pan-African financial services group operating across 15+ countries in Africa, Europe, and Asia.
