The story

Abecs is not a fintech operator — it is the Brazilian industry association representing 94 member companies across issuers, acquirers, card networks, digital banks, fintechs, processors and hardware makers in the electronic payments ecosystem. Its role is standards-setting, self-regulation, market data (Monitor Abecs), certification (Selo Abecs), and coordinated initiatives such as the unified MCC registry, centralized fraud watchlist, 3DS 2.0 normative, tokenization guidance, and interoperability projects (Click to Pay, voucher rail, Open Finance).
