The story

Founded as a UK-based school data integration middleware, Wonde built a secure API layer between school MIS/SIS systems and EdTech applications. It expanded from a single-country data connector into a global education data platform covering the UK, Australia, South Africa, and the United States, serving 30,000+ schools and 700+ integrated apps. Over time Wonde broadened from pure data brokerage into adjacent products including identity management (MyLogin), cloud provisioning (Edusync), and an app marketplace (Wonde Discover), positioning itself as the operating infrastructure layer for school digital ecosystems. Embedded finance is not a core product line — Wonde's marketplace hosts payment-provider apps (e.g. Kindo) used by schools, but Wonde itself does not operate payments, banking, or lending products.
