The story

Founded in 2001 as a financial messaging and payments technology vendor, Volante spent nearly two decades growing organically and profitably without outside capital. The company pivoted to a cloud-native Payments as a Service (PaaS) model, positioning itself as infrastructure for banks to modernize payment hubs rather than a bank itself. In 2021, it raised its first external funding to accelerate global expansion. Today it powers 66% of US commercial deposits and serves 4 of the top 5 global corporate banks, competing in the payment hub platform space alongside Finastra and ACI Worldwide.
