The story

uRyde launched as a carpooling and multi-modal mobility platform targeting enterprise and institutional employers (DAX companies, cities, hospitals) to promote sustainable commuting. The company expanded beyond pure ride-matching to offer a Mobility Budget product that lets employers issue virtual debit cards to employees, covering 50+ mobility services globally. By embedding banking infrastructure via Swan, uRyde shifted from a pure marketplace/SaaS model toward a mobility fintech play, monetizing the employee benefits stack in addition to the ride-matching core.
