Founded in 2003 as a Gibraltar-based lifestyle insurance intermediary, Taurus has evolved into a full-service, technology-led insurance programme manager operating under an in-house-built .NET/Azure platform. Rather than relying on third-party insurtech software, Taurus developed proprietary end-to-end claims and policy administration infrastructure, enabling rapid white-label deployment for affinity partners such as Asda Money and Post Office. In late 2025 Taurus expanded into the EU via its Switched On Insurance subsidiary and into Australia via a joint venture, signalling a shift from purely UK/Gibraltar operations to a multi-jurisdictional programme management model.
