Swile Business Travel

Can a French meal-voucher card become the financial OS for European employee spend — from lunch to gifts to travel to general T&E?

The story

Founded 2018 to disrupt the French meal-voucher market dominated by incumbents like Edenred and Sodexo, Swile built a Mastercard-branded benefits card and super-app for employees. After consolidating the French market with the Bimpli acquisition in 2022 (~75,000 clients, 5M employees), Swile is expanding the wallet beyond regulated lunch/gift budgets into broader business spend — starting with corporate travel via the Okarito acquisition (rebranded Swile Travel in 2025). The strategic thesis mirrors Ramp/Brex: turn an employee card already in workers' wallets into the front door for company-wide spend.
