Swile

Can Swile become France's default employee-benefits and corporate-spending super app — owning the full loop from benefit issuance to payment infrastructure — and replicate that model in Brazil?

The story

Founded in 2018 as Lunchr, a pure-play digital meal-voucher issuer competing with Edenred and Sodexo. Rebranded as Swile in 2020 and extended the single smartcard to cover all French employee benefits (titres-resto, titres cadeaux, mobilité, culture). The 2022 acquisition of Bimpli transformed Swile into the market leader with 5.5M users. The company is now positioning itself as a full employee-engagement 'super app', layering corporate travel management and SEPA-native payment infrastructure onto its benefits core.
