The story

Founded 2019 as an online microcredit lender for Brazil's underbanked classes C/D — the value prop is a high approval rate (including negativados) via alternative-data underwriting. Between 2020-2021 SuperSim pivoted toward a 'lending-as-a-service' model, distributing loans through partnerships as a correspondente bancário for licensed banks (Socinal, Celcoin/Via Capital SCD). More recently the company has adopted Brazilian Open Finance for underwriting and, contradicting its digital-only origins, opened a physical retail store in 2026 to reach customers offline.
