Founded 2016 to replace Excel scheduling for bars and restaurants, Skello scaled into a full frontline-workforce HR suite (scheduling, time tracking, payroll prep, HR admin) spanning hospitality, retail, pharmacy, and construction. The 2021 Series B funded European expansion across six countries. In 2024-2025 the company pivoted positioning toward AI, launching the Skello AI Assistant as the centerpiece of its '10 years of Skello' rebrand. The strategy is integration-heavy — Skello does NOT operate payroll/payments itself; it sits between POS and payroll engines as the workforce data spine.
