Shoptet began as a Czech-Slovak SaaS e-commerce platform, growing to power nearly 48,000 online stores in Central Europe. The company has progressively added embedded financial services under the 'Shoptet Pay' brand — including payment acceptance and working capital lending (Shoptet Boost) — following a similar trajectory to Shopify in the West. The integration of Salt Edge signals a move toward open banking / account-to-account payment rails as an alternative to card-based checkout.
