The story

ServiceTrade began in 2012 as a spin-out from DunnWell, purpose-built for commercial fire protection and mechanical contractors — a niche the horizontal FSM tools (ServiceTitan, Jobber) had underserved. After scaling with Frontier Growth (2020) and JMI Equity (2021, $85M), the company has moved deeper into embedded workflows: accounting-ERP native integrations (Sage Intacct, MS Dynamics 365), an AI agentic layer (Stella, Trade Intelligence), and — most recently — embedded payments via a Stripe-powered Tap to Pay product that captures invoice payment on-site rather than through office follow-up.
