The story

Founded in 2001 as a cloud accounting and financial management platform primarily serving Finnish SMEs and accounting offices, Procountor grew to over 100,000 customers and 1,400 accounting offices. In 2024 it was rebranded under the Finago group (part of Accountor Software Business), deepening its embedded finance offering by adding invoice financing (Finago Limiitti via Alisa Bank) and direct bank connections (Holvi). The platform is now migrating to Microsoft Azure in 2025, modernizing infrastructure while expanding its financial services beyond pure accounting into embedded lending and banking connectivity.
