The story

Prepare + Prosper is a Twin Cities-based nonprofit originally known for providing free tax preparation services to low- and moderate-income families. Over time, it expanded into broader financial inclusion work, culminating in the launch of the FAIR (Financial Access in Reach) financial solution in 2016–2018 in partnership with Sunrise Banks. The FAIR suite — comprising checking/savings accounts and credit builder loans — was designed to replace predatory financial products for unbanked and underbanked individuals, effectively embedding Sunrise Banks' banking infrastructure into P+P's nonprofit service model.
