The story

Founded in 2015 and launched in Australia in 2017, PointsBet grew into one of Australia's largest online bookmakers offering both fixed odds and spread betting. It went public on the ASX in 2019 and aggressively expanded into the US, partnering with payments infrastructure (Trustly, Cross River) to enable instant payouts. After divesting its US business in 2024, PointsBet refocused on Australia and Canada, and in 2025 was acquired by MIXI, Inc., a Japanese digital entertainment company.
