The story

Osper launched in 2013 as a consumer-focused prepaid Mastercard and mobile app that teaches children how to manage pocket money, backed by a $10M Series A from Index Ventures in 2014. Since then it has evolved into a dual business: the consumer-facing Osper card in the UK, and Prosper — a white-label 'youth bank in a box' selling the underlying platform to banks and fintechs launching their own youth card programmes globally. The Kani Payments partnership signals the platform's ongoing shift from consumer app to full B2B fintech infrastructure.
