“Can one Finnish SaaS own the full workforce + payroll administration layer for publicly-funded home care across every wellbeing services county?”
Founded in 2011 as SuoraTyö to make it easy for Finnish households and micro-employers to run payroll for domestic workers. In 2017 it moved into personal-assistance employment relationships, then rebranded to Oima and specialized in home-care (personal assistance, informal and family care) administration for Finland's wellbeing services counties. In 2022 it added an in-house payroll bureau (Palvelutuotanto) to run compensation calculations end-to-end for clients. By 2025 Oima was in use across all Finnish wellbeing counties, and it has since been acquired by Visma, making it the public-sector home-care payroll/workforce layer inside Visma's Nordic vertical-SaaS portfolio.
Oima uses Visma Connect for KYC and identity verification.
Oima's payroll is powered by Oima Palvelutuotanto (in-house).
