“Can AI agents own the execution layer between finance teams' existing ERP, spend, and inbox systems?”
Numra was founded by chartered accountant David Kearney (ex-PwC, co-founder of Peblo which was acquired by Wayflyer) and ML engineer Conor Digan to automate the execution layer of finance ops that sits between ERPs and spend tools. Rather than building a new ERP or replacing existing systems, Numra deploys AI agents (Inbox, AP, AR, Data) that read emails, apply customer-defined rules, and post back to the customer's existing accounting stack. The thesis is that finance teams already own the right systems — the manual work that falls between them is what AI agents should automate.
Numra integrates with Xero, Gmail, Pleo, Slack, Revolut and Stripe.
The Embedded Finance Index 2026 maps 3 layers in Numra's stack: Unified APIs (Apideck); Accounting (Xero, Gmail, Pleo, Slack and 2 others); Spend / AP (Pleo).
Numra was founded by David Kearney and Conor Digan and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
