“Can Brazil's regulated interbank clearinghouse re-platform itself into the commercial data + tokenization backbone of the domestic financial system?”
Núclea is the rebranded evolution of Brazil's interbank clearinghouse CIP (Câmara Interbancária de Pagamentos), which for two decades operated regulated settlement systems SILOC, SITRAF and SLC under Banco Central do Brasil. In 2022 it repositioned as 'Núclea', broadening its scope from pure clearing infrastructure into a commercial data-intelligence and embedded-finance infrastructure player — layering credit/collections analytics, anti-fraud, receivables registration (REGIMOB, duplicatas escriturais), portability services and, most recently, tokenized assets (Núclea Chain, stablecoins) on top of its regulated rails. It is Brazilian financial market plumbing pivoting from utility to platform.
