The story

Founded in 2013 as a pure-play online consumer lender in Argentina, Moni's core product was instant personal loans disbursed digitally. The company subsequently added a virtual wallet (Billetera Virtual) and QR payments infrastructure, evolving into a broader consumer fintech offering payments, bill payments, cell phone top-ups, and SUBE card recharges. The launch of a virtual prepaid Mastercard further cemented its shift from a monoline lender to a lightweight digital financial services provider, all while remaining registered as a non-bank credit provider and payment service provider under BCRA regulations.
