The story

Founded in 1964 as a manufacturer of industrial tunnel ovens, Mecatherm evolved over six decades into a global supplier of complete automated production lines for industrial bakery, pastry, and confectionery. The company expanded its product breadth through acquisitions (GOUET in 2006, ABI Canada in 2021) and geographic reach across 70+ countries. Most recently, Mecatherm pivoted toward digital services by creating IoT sister company MaMaTa (2020) and launching the MyMecatherm SaaS platform in 2025, signaling a shift from pure equipment OEM toward an equipment-as-a-service and connected operations model. On the financial side, Mecatherm raised a €70M senior debt facility (advised by Natixis Partners) to support growth, reflecting its scale as a mid-market industrial group under Unigrains ownership.
