The story

Founded 2007 by a Spanish hospitality operator (Burger King / 100 Montaditos franchisee) as GIRnet, a back-office and analytics tool for restaurants. Following Providence Strategic Growth's 2021 investment, Mapal pivoted from single-product analytics company to acquisition-led hospitality operating system, rolling up Flow Hospitality Training (LMS, UK), Easilys (F&B / kitchen, France) and GetCompliant (compliance, Sweden). Positioning is now 'Mapal OS' — a back-of-house operating system for hospitality — not embedded finance. Cashrec module handles cash reconciliation but the company is not a payments/BaaS platform.
