The story

Founded in Berlin in 2020 by ex-Caterpillar/Michelin/VW operators, Makula is a purpose-built vertical SaaS for machinery OEMs, distributors, and factories. It began as a customer-portal / field service management tool for machine builders (turning one-time buyers into service revenue), then extended into CMMS for the factory side and, most recently, an Industrial AI copilot. The company operates as pure B2B SaaS — no embedded finance, payments, banking, lending, or card programs — with per-seat pricing (€55/user/month) and ERP/CRM/PLM integrations rather than financial rails.
