LeaseCrunch

Can lease accounting become the wedge for a broader CPA-firm data-extraction and financial intelligence platform?

The story

LeaseCrunch was founded by former Big Four auditors and a former FASB staffer to automate ASC 842 / GASB 87 / IFRS 16 lease accounting for CPA firms. In 2024 it merged with Finagraph, whose Strongbox product pulled data directly from client ERPs and accounting systems. The combined company rebranded as Crunchafi in 2025, positioning itself as a broader 'Accounting & Financial Intelligence' suite for CPA firms — lease accounting + financial data extraction — while retiring Finagraph's older CashFlowTool product line.
