Hastee launched in 2017 as a UK earned-wage-access pioneer, funding advances directly against payroll receivables via a bespoke £200M debt facility Umbra Capital arranged rather than a bank sponsor. The company progressively broadened into a full financial-wellbeing platform (Hastee Earn, Learn, Grow) covering savings, financial education, discounts and an AI Financial Assistant, distributed through T&A/WFM/payroll integrations rather than a consumer neobank stack. In August 2025 Zellis Group acquired Hastee, folding it into Zellis's HR & payroll suite and adding Hastee Benefits Ltd, Hastee Technologies HR Ltd and Hastee Europe SL as sub-processors of the Zellis financial-wellbeing product line.
