The story
GoodDay was founded in 2023 by the operators behind Chubbies and Loop Returns as a purpose-built, Shopify-native ERP alternative for consumer brands — targeting the middle ground between spreadsheets and NetSuite. Through 2025-2026 the company leaned into an AI-native positioning, launching the GoodDay MCP integration with Claude to let brand operators query and act on inventory, POs, and sales orders via LLM. The product is embedded inside the Shopify Admin using Polaris and does not itself offer any regulated financial services — payments, banking, capital, and payroll are explicitly not part of the stack.
