“Can a legal case management tool become the AI-powered operating system for every law firm's caseload?”
Filevine started in 2014 as legal case management software built by practicing attorneys frustrated with existing tools. Over a decade it expanded into a broader legal work platform covering intake (Lead Docket), contracts (Outlaw), e-signatures (Vinesign), depositions, and billing/payments. Since 2023 the company has pivoted decisively toward AI, rebranding its platform as LOIS (Legal Operating Intelligence System) and raising $400M in 2024-2025 to compete for the legal AI category-defining position.
