Founded 2014 in Pune as an online payment gateway focused on SMBs, Easebuzz evolved into a 'vertical SaaS + embedded payments' platform — wrapping fee management (FeesBuzz), invoicing (SmartBilling, Teller), expense management (SmartX) and connected banking (Easebuzz Neo) around its payment aggregator core. The 2025 Series A from Bessemer and full RBI PA authorization across online, offline and cross-border rails position the company as one of only three Indian fintechs with all three PA licenses, signaling a deliberate push to become the 'verticalized operating system' for Indian MSMEs.
